Neem cake
The beneficial and medicinal properties of the Neem tree have been known and used for centuries in India. In fact, this tree is used for cosmetic products, health products and medicinal preparations. The kernel of the neem fruit is crushed to produce an oil that is used primarily in pest control, but also as a medicine, cosmetic and body care products. The residue after pressing becomes Neem Cake, an excellent organic fertilizer. Tree branches are also used as toothbrushes for dental hygiene. It's no wonder that scientists have yet to discover a tree with so many applications!
Neem cake is therefore the neem seed flour obtained as a residue from the extraction of Neem oil of Indian origin, from a cold pressing process. Neem cake is used as an excellent organic fertilizer in organic farming with a parasite-repellent action. The high content of Azadirachtin helps protect crops against nematodes and soil parasites.
Mechanism of action
Neem Cake improves the overall appearance of fruits and vegetables and increasing leaf age, growth, flowering and strengthening roots;
When mixed with fertilizers, it slows down the conversion of nitrogen compounds into (ammoniacal) nitrogen, thus making the nitrogen available for a longer period, avoiding losses through leaching. Frequent in protected crops and subject to frequent watering.
Due to the presence of microelements important for plant life, it prevents nutritional imbalances and disorders.
Protects the plant from nematodes, ants, insects and ground-dwelling larvae.
It is a totally organic plant fertilizer that increases the productivity and fertility of the soil.
It has antifungal properties, therefore suitable for application in greenhouses and protected environments.
How to use
During soil preparation 40-60 kg/1000 m2 and when covering 25-40 kg/1000 m2
During the vegetative cycle, applying 80g/large shrubs and 20-30g for small vegetable plants once every 4-5 weeks will have a notable improvement in the natural resistance of the plants. It can be safely applied to all fruit, garden and vegetable crops, melon, strawberry, tomato, pepper, vineyard and flowers.
In combination with synthetic nitrogen fertilizers, stick to a ratio of 1 to 4. That is, for every 400 kg of nitrogen fertilizer (urea, ammonium sulphate, nitrates) 100 kg of Neem Cake.
