WHAT IT IS:
Hydrated lime is a product of natural origin, obtained from the cooking of limestone rocks and is indicated to provide the element calcium in poor soils, or to increase the pH in acidic soils.
Calcium is a fundamental element to plant life as it is the essential component of protopectins present in cell walls and directly responsible for the texture of fruits.
WHAT IS IT FOR:
The supply of calcium to the plants increases the mechanical resistance of the tissues for the action of support and reinforcement. In particular, it prolongs the ripening time and senescence of the fruits, keeping the structure of the cell walls and membranes intact. The deficiency occurs on the leaves and shoots, which are curved and distorted to dry out later. Due to its good dispersibility it can be used for the preparation of lime milk, to be brushed on stems and main branches, to reduce thermal imbalances and contain the development of cryptogams
Calcium hydrate powder obtained by dry hydration of calcium oxide according to the exothermic reaction CaO +H2O −> Ca(OH)2
